I definitely appreciate the frequent readers and the feedback that I get on my blog. I don't really write it for notoriety, but rather to entertain and not feel so distant from the Western World. An occasional headshake in disbelief or an actual laugh out loud are added bonuses. Please continue to enjoy.

Support?

Late this morning after last night's fun and merriment at the Whiskey Weasel, I found Euree throwing up in the bathroom.  I went and started to rub her back for emotional support and then the smell hit me.  I went outside the bathroom and started taking gigantic deep breaths.  Euree asked "What in the hell are you doing?"  To which I replied "I'm trying to be supportive, but I have a weak stomach." Euree started to laugh and said " The most supportive thing you can do is go away!"  With 2 thumbs up and a big smile I responded "I can do that!"

Euree's still laughing at lunch thinking about it.

A store for ME!

I saw this store the other day and I loved the title!  It needed to be shared!

Euree and I have some fun at an arcade

We had fun visiting an arcade in Jongno.  We played Time Crisis (one of my all-time favorite arcade games) some zombie game and air hockey!

Delicious food in 북촌

I went to Bukcheon today.  Euree took me to a delicious dumpling restaurant and then to an amazing noodle restaurant next door.

New Beer Day

I got the chance to try a new beer today.  It was delicious and hilarious to see graphic instructions on the can as to how to serve it.  There weren't any instructions however if you were going to just drink it straight from the can.

Toastmasters Meeting Best Evaluator

At today's Toastmasters meeting, I was voted as the best speech evaluator.  Smiles!

Silliness in the Subway!

Just coming back from a Toastmasters meeting and decided to get silly with pictures in the subway.

The Death of a Longtime Companion

I lost a friend of 7years earlier this week.  He fought a good fight but alas his motor just didn't keep running.

Grandparents

While creating Reader's Guides for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory I was thinking about the grandparents, especially the grandmothers, in the story.  They listen to the newspaper articles about Violet, Mike, Augustus and Veruca and are consistently disgusted with the ways that these children are raised and act.  It made me smile and reminded me of both of my grandmothers when they'd see a child misbehaving in church, or in the supermarket, or even on TV.  Just made me smile.

Yummy... Costco for dinner?

Going to Costco for dinner because they have delicious hot dogs and bbq sandwiches reminds me of going to Sam's Club with Grandma Davis for "lunch" as we'd walk around and fill up on all the samples.  :-)

New Running Shoes

I got me some new running shoes as the spring approaches.  I'll start running more as the ice melts.  :-)

The Toastmasters Meeting Today

Today I was the Toastmaster at our Saturday meeting.  My topic of choice was "Candy".  It was a great meeting as we're trying to boost membership and involvement and we had a lot of visitors today.  Plus it snowed on the way to the meeting.

Funny Faces at Work

Euree's Friend's Birthday

We went for fried chicken and beer, then on to a Cuban bar for some fun to celebrate her friend's birthday!

Homemade Pasta

The other day I tried my hand at homemade pasta.  It was delicious!

A Sunday Early Afternoon at a Cafe Window

Euree and I played car brand bingo in a cafe window on a Sunday morning.  Having Aston Martin and Bentley in two of my squares made it difficult to get a blackout.

Awesome Sweatshirt

I was in the Gangnam subway station on my way home after work today and saw this priceless sweatshirt.  If it was a little bit more of a comfortable fluffy sweatshirt I'd probably get it.

Free Lunch Today! Yippppeeeeeeeee!

A local lunch restaurant just opened up and apparently to drum up business they provided free lunch boxes for all the staff at our school today.  I don't know why, but oh well, it's FREE FOOD!  I brought lunch as well, so I will probably enjoy that as an afternoon snack as my blood sugar starts to get low.

Over Complicated Grilled Cheese and a Happy Girl

I made lunch the other day: grilled cheese with grilled sausage,  onions, chives and tomatoes.  This sparked the story of the day mom called to have me cook lunch for Dad before he got home from Airport Flash since she wasn't going to be home in time.  I made a grilled cheese with Swiss and other accompaniments.   Anyways he was ok with it, but would've been happier with a grilled cheese that was bread and American cheese.

All of these great flavors inside the crispy buttery bread made my stomach and Euree's very happy.

The Perfect Bar for a Christmas Beer

I know these pics are late coming, but after a Toastmasters meeting, a group of us ventured to a self beer bar (my favorite type of bar in Korea 《there are refrigerators full of about 30-40 different varieties with prices written on the fridge doors》). So, after a Honey Brown, a Smithwicks, a Red Dog and a San Miguel, I decided to head out.  Happy Times.

Me Speaking

I've been active in Toastmasters for only about 4 months since a coworker took me to my first meeting.  I liked the encouraging environment, and it really has helped me communicate better by speaking slowly and establishing eye contact.  One thing that hasn't changed yet is my volume.  One person who arrived late to this week's meeting said that she knew where we were because she could hear me in the corridor.
